JMC Academy Showcase

On Tuesday the 16th of November we went to the JMC Academy Showcase held at the Enmore theatre. The showcase was a number of acts and videos that had been put together by third year students from the academy, showing us what they had learnt over the 3 years. The venue was very spacious but had quite a small stage.
Audio: At the beginning of the show there were a few technical difficulties that were handled very professionally by the students. The sound was at a good volume and all the instrumental equipment (amplifiers, microphones etc.) worked perfectly. 4/5
Vision: All videos worked perfectly fine and were on Que. One critical comment i have is that the screen was positioned to high and hurt your neck looking up for so long. 4/5
Lighting: There were different types of lights (coloured, white, strobe etc.) all working well and had a nice effect on the performances. 5/5
Staging: There were no real props or decorations on the stage apart from the lighting. The stage could have been made to look a little more exciting. 4/5
Venue: The venue itself was clean, a good temperature in the theatre and had good hospitality. The bathrooms could have been a little more clean . 4/5
